Fiat Punto 1.7TDS, 97 model Electrically Dead?

Driving along fine and the car just died, no lights no nothing. After 10 minutes everything back to normal, started the car drove 50 km no problem. Next day got in the car drove 5km happened again, dead while on the move. Everything went off, no lights on the dash at all, nothing. Towed the car home, checked the battery, fully charged. Still no lights on the dash or anywhere. Checked the battery leads all fine. What could be wrong????

there may be a main fuse in the positive lead from battery to starter motor, check for battery voltage on solenoid terminal where batt lead connects-if no voltage then fault could be fuse [if f itted] or lead itself.
