The oven timer/clock is flashing and wont re set. Originally it did - but then within an hour started to flash again. Now it wont re set at all. Seems like I need to replace the timer/clock. Has anybody had this problem and how did you solve it. If you replaced the timer/clock unit - was it easy enough to do or does it need a technician?

Thank You - Graham

Thanks Again,

I think we are now use to the "flashing" - it would have been nice to get the clock/timer back - BUT not at £125 !!

If you are still checking this page Graham it is possible to bypass the clock so the oven operates on manual and the flashing display is extinguished. You will not then be able to set the automatic though, but you will be £125 better off.

Thank You Kenjo

I've done as you suggested and - yes - I can do it
myself. Now I find that the "clock/timer" replacement is £125 and I can actually buy a new cooker unit for less than £600. So the clock unit is 25% of the cost! Maybe we'll put up with the flashing.

Thanks Again
Graham

Clock is easy to replace, isolate from the electric supply, slide oven out of housing, remove top inspection panel, clock is held in place with plastic lugs, spring in the lugs and remove clock.MAKE SURE YOU RECONNECT THE WIRES CORRECTLY. (best to take a picture of connections before removal) Clock is expensive though. Cheers
