Ignore the advice from m, no wonder his chain blunts quickly if he listens to his own advice!

My chain stops when it starts to cut? just like the cluch is slipping? help

I agree, check the oil holes.

Cooking Oil? Rubbish I'm afraid, use proper chain oil.

NEVER use (ANY) oil, only the commended oil as it will wear the bar, as for the oiler take the chain and bar off and check that the groove is clean where the chain runs, there are 2 small holes for the oil to feed the chain check that they are clear.

make sure that the oil ports are not blocked, (WITH THE CHAIN SAW OFF) take the side cover off and see if there is any sawdust blocking them. i work in the parks, and i allways use cooking oil for keeping the chain cool, its is finer and works fine, and no it wont go up on fire, or cook chips, the problem with electric chainsaw, is the blades go blunt very fast,, see if you can pick up a top end chain for it, or get the right size file to sharpen the old blade, all chainsaw blades will go blunt even if they tip off the ground/clay when running.
