Mk2 Galaxy coolant leak?

When I remove engine cover (mk2 tdi zetec), there is a box shaped item on the passenger side of the engine block. I have coolant leaking from the underside when vehicle is started. Any ideas what this is?

On further investigation the object is the vacuum pump. The leak is below, possibly piping. As soon as I add coolant, it leaks just as quickly.

It is semi-cylindrical metal main body. Plastic side access cover secure by Allen bolts. Various coolant lines running underneath and below rear. Covered by large rubber hose (air?). I've taken pictures but this site doesn't allow upload.

Can you be more specific? What size is the box,is it square, rectangular, does it have any connections? wiring/hoses etc
