Cooper scantronic #9472?

On exiting the exit tone is very loud and the beeps can be heard for several minuets, next door neighbour starting to complain as the tone can be heard loudly in her property. So to my question "can it be silenced" before she sets her highly strung hubby on me?.
Thanx in advance.

aj.,what was rude about e manno reply?i find nothing rude about the truth new builds are really trash as he said thin walls no insulation ,both alarm guy and e manno gave you the correct info ,both these guys are pros, not do it yourself merchants

Cool a response I wanted.
My appols.

Ok so let me get this right:

1 shorten the exit time considering dual ply may be enabled.
2 locate and adjust the tone volume as required.

Ok I'm in the book as a can't quite remember lol.

Punch in you engineers code.
Press ENTER.

If you have successfully gained entry into programming then all the led's except the power should flash.

Key in 44 for exit timer.

Press ENTER.

Key in 1 for 10 sec's or

Key in 2 for 20 sec's or

Key in 3 for 30 sec's etc etc etc.

Get the picture ?,I'm sure you grasp the concept.

Press Enter.

Switch mains power off to the panel and open her up by removing the lid.

Look towards the lower portion of the pcb and you will see the fuses.

Above the two fuses you will see a potentiometer.

Using a small driver carefully rotate the pot counter clockwise.

Quarter of a turn should do it as the pots ain't that sensitive on these.

Close panel and restore mains power.

Key in 99.

Press ENTER to exit programming and return to day mode.

Regards e manno :)

A rather rude answer from e manno,,but somewhat helpful none the less,,thank you.
Alarm;I do have the code,,thank you.
Sorry the keypad is a 9427,,the alam is a 9448+ going on the user instructions I have now found.

Bet you live in one of those crappy new builds?.
Inadequate insulation etc.

We saw similar when we fitted veritas compacts to around 30 bovis homes, terrible.

Lack of insulation to cavity walls, floors etc and cheap red brick that's saturated with salts,so White staining that will show for years to come.

Anyway you not say if you have extension speakers?.

IIRC the 9427's have a vol - + pot on the pcb but for altering the e/e timers you defo need what Alarm is asking you :)

e manno, February 2014
And who wrote 9472 on the key pad ?.

I'd chime the door and really piss them off :D

e manno, February 2014
It needs adjusting for volume and exit sequence.
Have you got the engineering code?
