Vw tiguan. - bump stop adrift?

I own a vw tiguan 2008 reg, which has now done about 46000 miles. I had my mot done last nov 2013. And had a advisory note on my certificate saying near side shock absorber bump stop adrift, I haven't took much notice upto now but it seems to make a constant noise when I'm driving and even worser when I'm driving at higher speed in 5th or 6 gear. Should I wait for my next service which is due in 2000 miles or should it be looked at immediately, it is still drive able but the noise is constant even on a smooth road.

I wouldn`t think a bump stop would give you much trouble unless you are carrying very heavy loads and the suspension is sitting right down, are you sure it isn`t a wheel bearing?
