How do ypu reset the ecu's on a 2008 citroen c5 1.6l diesel?

hello all, I have a 2008 1.6l diesel Citroen c5 and I was wondering if I disconnected the battery for about half an hour then re-connected it, would this be enough to reset the ecu's as I don't want to go t a main dealer if I can help it.
many thanks

Hi, firstly, why do you want to reset your ecu? If you have had a fault error, then a session on a Lexia would be the way forward. some apps on mobiles with a blue tooth dongle can reset some codes. However, on my 2.0 HDi estate, can be reset by turning the ignition key to on (before actual start) and off 12 times sometimes works. Also I have followed the instruction on the Frenchcar forum, as follows;
ignition off - lights on - remove battery terminals - the wired tails (no battery) short together, this discharges the ecu - light off - reconnect the battery - reset the time clock - radio stations - electric windows. If you are near the North West,I have Lexia kit.
Hope this helps.

OBD2 scanners and elm327 readers are cheap and work.look on Ebay.some codes do delete with battery disconnect on some cars but hit and miss

I very much doubt it,if you have had a fault and repaired it then it will probably need to go onto a good code reader to delete your faults and your m.i.l.
