I think its the starter motor that appears faulty and has got worse over the last week or so. Before it might of took a couple of turns of key to start sometimes and now (like last night) it must have took an hour before I could get it to start!! Does this mean it is totally knackered or someone suggested maybe a faulty wire? How do I go about getting it fixed the cheapest way possible plz?

By doing it yourself! Disconnect battery,unbolt starter and fit new,as to what sort of motor you are working on,that us any one's guess.
