Fisher Paykel GWL 11 won't spin after wash cycle?

Love this washer but it quit yesterday. After the wash cycle it started beeping, after stopping it and restarting, it wouldn't spin out nor drain the water. I've unplugged and plugged it back in and it still only had the humming noise of the motor. I then unloaded the machine and bailed out all the water and now there's a chugging noise when I turn it on to the spin cycle but it doesn't do anything more. Repair company is $79.95 to walk in the house and $20 every 15 minutes after that so I thought I'd ask on here...

First the machine does not spin the water out. The drain pump has to remove all the water then the machine will spin. So because your machine is not draining that is the reason it is not spinning. The humming you hear is actually the drain pump trying to start so something must be blocking it. First thing to try is get as much water out as possible to lighten the machine. Then pull machine away from the wall and tip it back against the wall. Get someone to hold it there. Then look under the front right corner and you will see the pump with a plastic propellor. Try turning the propellor backward and forward until it feels free. Stand machine up & put the power back on and try the final spin. Hopefully the pump will now run & water will come out of the drain hose. If that fails then the pump will have to be taken off the machine and the obstruction cleared by hand.
