I have opened the case of the KP5501Z and there are a couple of pcb's but I cannot see a battery.
Where is it and how do I get to it?

Hi. Thank you for the information. You were absolutely spot on all round. I found the box (in the airing cupboard under some shelves) and 10 mins - job done.

Then your looking in the wrong place :)

More than likely it's a DSC system fitted by brittish gas or adt used the focus as well.

Locate the end station or control panel for a backup battery replacement because there's no battery what so ever inside the lcd Kp5501z rkp.

Isolate mains power before you open up the panel.
