chainsaw chain runs on without gas?

I have a garden line 45cc petrol chainsaw, model nr: GPCS46Z.
I've solved the cutting out problem, was the spark plugs! but now there's a dangerous problem arisen, the chain won't stop turning when I stop giving gas?
the chain just gets faster and faster (louder) and if I engage the chain brake the saw gets really loud like its going to explode? what can that be???

Well cheers for all that and to reassure you that I don't use cooking oil and I haven't engaged the chain brake at full throttle! (it works ok, just gets louder when used)
Its clean and pipes are clear, pull cord sticks a lot and still this chain keeps spinning from on to off again?

Sorry should have said earlier. Engaging the chain-brake on full throttle is a good way of wrecking it.

You need to do the tests on the stuck throttle WITHOUT power and only start it up when you are sure that you have fixed it.

Cooking oil in chain saw? Utter nonsense. No real professional would do that. Use proper chain oil.

you may have caught the throttle cable or line in something when you had the cover off.
check all linkages.
Never use cooking oil as a lube,
if j wants to, then let him, anyone with an ounce of
sence will never do this..

there must be a problem with the trigger sticking on full. also check that the sprockes under the plate coves are clean, and that the chainsaw cooling iol ports are not blocked, we use cooking iol in my job in the parks on our chainsaws, as its much finer to get through the ports, make sure that the revs are not set to high, but be carefull useing it like that, get it fixed somehow, could realy hurt ya,
