2003 transit van won't move ! rear axle locked ?

my swb transit was fine..but just tried to move it. both rear wheels locked solid in any direction. all seems well but feels like handbrake is locked on solid permenantly, even when lever is released. all underbody cables appear to go tight + slack when h-brake is used as they should. van has only covered 54k...any ideas ?

Take off the wheel trims (if fitted), then give both back wheels/hubs a good belt with a mallet. As you use the van the brakes will free off ok. If you park up for periods of time.. put in gear and chock wheels, handbrakes dont like being left on & inactive. Good luck.

Hand brake cables shouldn't go slack when released, it sounds very much like the rear brakes have seized on. Has it been parked for a while with the hand brake on?
