Dyson DC04 On/Off Switch Cable Entry, Broken Power Cable?

Hi
I am trying to gain access to the cable entry on a Dyson DC04 to mend the Power Cable. Thank you so much for the earlier answer but do you meen that the YELLOW On/Off Button can be popped out to reveal a fixing screw. I have tried to pop out the yellow button, I have also tied to pop out the entire switch assembly, yellow button and grey plastic holder. Which bit unclips please.

Thanks for your help - it took minutes. I'd been trying to prise the switch off, not realising there was a screw!

Thanks all on here.
Had a bare copper wire showing at switch lead entry.
After using this actual string and 5mins fixing time all up and working perfectly.

WELL DONE ALL.

nice one Dean. Geoff it is just the yellow button - imagine it popping out if the catch wasn't there (needs a bit of wiggling around). Once inside you might need some new connectors - I got a packet in a car spares shop

I've just repaired my DC04 using the link http://www.sparesaver.com/technical_advice/Hints_Tips/DC04_Hints_and_Tips/DC04_Cutting_Out.htm

The right angled screwdriver part requires some patience. In the end I had to use a couple of small, bent screwdrivers to ensure the catch on the glamour cap was fully pushed in before you can work the cap out. Use a blunt knife first to separate the housing from the switch cap - just so you can have a look to see exactly which part of the glamour cap is the catch.
