2 oddys on 9600?

hi there i have 2 oddysey 3 bellboxes which i would like to connect to my 9600 alarm, i have decided to put them both on low current mode, so the bell current current would be 580ma and the strobe would be 200ma, would it be okay to connect this load to the bell and strobe outputs, i know the total load for this is 1.25amps so would it be okay taling into account the detectors keypads, ect.

i imagine the bell output is rated at amp. so from expierience what would you say thanks
im sure i can do it, March 2014
it doesn't matter anymore ive done it and it works great, but at least we are both having a laugh about it

thank you very much:) who was was to underestimate a great panel

She will run another internal sounder too if you want, no probe.

As said by all of us you have a very strong panel and it will take a lot to kill it and the combo of Sab/scb is the best way to go.

The quieter sounder on sab is hardly noticeable to the untrained ear but still packs a punch none the less so don't worry about the draw unless you expand the zones or fit a further two rkp's.

Just remember to test the system periodically and enjoy :)

afternoon i played about with the modes and waking up the local neds, i went for sab and scb very and no power issues whatsoever, very loud indeed, thanks

i suppose it was right there in front me in the manual if the load is less than 1250ma which it is then its fine, i been worrying over a great panel. what do you guys think let me guess, told you so

thanks mate ill try when the wind dies down

Yep as the sounder is drawing power from the panel in sab mode so in reality the tones are louder than when on scb.

Have a play with the wiring configurations, you can't harm the panel because if the draw is to much on bell and strobe combined it just trips the poly.

WTF, March 2014
does lc mode over sab make any difference in tone or volume apart from saving 200ma

?????, March 2014
You can have the first oddy on sab the second on scb if you want.

Why reduce the Db's on both???.

You can also select sab or scb in bell prog if my memory serves me correctly.

WTF, March 2014
connect them your not going to overload the 9600 panel, its total load is 1250ma, your load is not close to that figure therefore you wont overload it the bell output is 1 amp just bear in mind the load of future detectors comunicators keypads ect,
