how to fix my Kenwood KDW243A dishwasher?

Hi, I have a Kenwood KDW243A integrated dishwasher. After loading my dishwasher, I pressed the ON button only to find that it is displaying a static red light (next to the ON button) instead of the usual green. What does this mean and is it safe to proceed? Many thanks,
