Zoostorm not picking up Wi-Fi?

My son has a zoostorm SL8 mini tablet pc.
It has previously connected to our wi-fi but stopped.
When trying to connect it says "turning on wi-fi" but nothing happens.
Have tried factory reset - not sure now what to do.
