It could be something as simple as a faulty bulb holder. Plug the fridge/freezer into an extension lead powered from another room or hall which will be on a separate trip in the meter board. If it still trips it suggests the socket in the kitchen is ok and the fault is in the fridge/freezer itself. Remove the bulb. Put the rcd back to on and switch on the fridge/freeer. Does it still trip? A faulty bulb holder can cause a short (trip).
