What reading should I get on my multimeter for the resistance across the reed switch. I am getting no resistance reading (reed switch open) at the moment. Think this is related to dishwasher problem (filling up, pumping out cycle, water flow lighting up)

The impeller jug makes and breaks circuit as it rotates so the pcb can count the rotations and measure the amount of water entering the machine so it depends where it is "parked" as to what reading you get. If it is faulty and jams the pulses do not reach the pcb so the machine will fill to the flood level and pump out repeatedly and the water tap will be displayed. Is this the problem you have?
