Hi,
I recently had a new door fitted to my garage but the installer fitted the opening a different way which means the door contact does not reach the new location. This now throws an open zone error when setting the alarm. How can this wire be extended to the new location and can we do this without causing a tamper alarm on the system?
just trying to be helpful,save you money,but,if you have the engineering code,then alarm guy has told you what you need if you don't,then time to get your wallet out

You cannot, if it is fitted correctly.
The engineers code is needed. And a junction box, some cable and 15 mins.
