My washing machine wvf2402gb/02 has it's door locked closed. I have tried disconnecting it from power overnight, plus putting it through a couple of wash cycles. I've also tried to open the catch by using wire around the door etc (both directions!), and by trying to find a release inside the machine.

There doesn't seem to be an emergency release near the filter/ pump, so am totally out of ideas.

Is there anyone out there who could advise me what to try next? Am wondering if there is a separate fuse for the interlock somewhere, or if there is a part which tends to fail. Please help, thanks.

It's probably is a faulty door interlock. You can try pushing the door tighter shut so it takes the pressure off the door striker whilst at the same time giving the area around the door lock a good thump, it may release, but you will still need to replace the door interlock.
