My 2005 PUG 1007 sporthas a strange clunk noise on the front suspension. I have replaced both front shocks and drop links.
This seemed to cure it for a week or so but now the noise is back.

I'm suspecting one of the bushes but i can't see anything worn nor can i find any abnormal movement of any components.

The car handles fine.
Any ideas?

would the CVs also clunk in a straight line?
I will check the top bearings.
but i'm sure we didn't see anything wrong at the time.

did you check the strut top bearings when the struts were off? Also check C.V joints on full lock
