Unfortunately you will probably find the rear shaft of the drum has worn it's way through the bronze bearing and cut it's way through the metal casing until it has sheared off. You can check this by removing the little square cover on the back of the machine center. usually not repairable but shaft kit is available as long as the machine casing is not badly damaged. Long job for a diy
