First establish if its a cable clutch or hydraulic as both would give same or similar symptoms with the pedal.
Cable clutch cable snapped. Check pedal or gearbox control end for break.
Hydraulic : Loss of clutch fluid find the reservoir bottle under bonnet see if its empty. If empty or low their is a leak usual in the slave cylinder of the clutch unit gear box end. Or it may be just low bad maintenance so sucked in air.
If bottle is empty refilling wont’ help its leaked out and sucked in air on each shot of the pedal so it has to be bled of air after filling the bottle. There are mobile clutch repairers check with one the price weigh that up against calling out a garage to either do it or tow it in.
Its not going to make any difference but rapidly pump the pedal if it goes slightly tight or hard its hydraulic.
