This message flashed up on the display of my Scenic Mk2 1.6 petrol engine as it dramatically decelerated form 70 to 0. Car would not restart, although it spins over very quickly now, with no firing up. warning message has gone. What's happened? I thought maybe the timing belt had snapped but the 'check injection' message has confused me. Any ideas please?

And did you check the timing belt? Also check if the fuel cut off switch hasn't been activated.
