vauxhall astra mk4 2003?

Hi folks I need help I got a Astra mk4 2003 the problem I got is my remote key is permently lit up red when I press lock the light goes off but when I press open it goes brighter but nothing happens to the car help pls

I think it will need to go onto a computer to help you out to determine if your fob is at fault,you will probably need your security code at hand.
