The problem started yesterday I filledy x reg fiat punto up and suddenly the car was jerking and the engine management light came on I manage to get the car home then tested it a couple of hours later it was fine, I drove to work this morning fine then on the way home the car again started jerking and the light came back on any ideas or advice would be great thanks

I am not an expert but that happened to me with a Volvo I had just bought and it bucked all round the M25. I had to keep filling up with oil so I suspect you may have an oil leak but I am not an expert.

It is not unusual to get a bad batch of fuel if you filled up at a supermarket.
