Morphy Richards power steam elite model 330004?

The blue light which normally indicates that the water tank is empty won't go out, even though the tank is full. There is no steam coming through the iron. The machine is making its normal noise as though the pump is working. Can anyone give me ideas in laymans language, that might help? It's out of warranty, but still relatively new and I can't really afford to replace it.

Where the water tank fits onto the iron, the two tubes connecting the tank to the iron has 2 white rubber seals. One of the seals has split, not allowing it to build up pressure, and it registers as there is not enough water in the tank. replace with another seal, or a small rubber "O" ring will get you up and running.
