'Screeching' Creda Compact Tumble Dryer!?

My Creda Compact Tumble Dryer is over 30 years old. But, I don't wish to condemn it and send it to the local waste disposal site, because it has out lasted two later models that I've bought, both of which didn't even last a year.

This is the first time that the Creda has developed a fault and it recently started to make a 'Screeching' sound when running. I would be much obliged if anyone could confirm if it simply needs a new belt drive or, (I'm working on the assumption) that it could even be a worn bearing unit? And, if it is the latter, where would the bearing unit be located?

I should be most appreciative of anyone who could advise me and would like to thank them in advance for their reply.

It is most likely to be a worn jockey pulley. this is a wheel on a spring loaded arm that keeps a tension on the belt, early models had 2 of them. Cheers
