Peugeot 307, 2001 model. Fixed the floppy indicator switch but no lights!?

Removed the steering wheel, cowling, airbag and general gubbins. Identified the damaged plunger which caused the very floppy indicator switch but, having repaired it, I rebuilt the lot to find my main beam lights on all the time! The light switch now doesn't work so no flasher or dip beam. The sidelights and main beam are on all permanently and the only way to save my battery is to disconnect the lights. What have I done?

I don't think you've repaired it. I'd get a brand new one fitted. Expensive, but you won't pass an MOT with it like that.
