power the alarm unit down completely, i.e. disconnect mains and backup battery (at this point the anti-tamper circuit in the outside box will trigger the alarm, sorry there's no way to avoid that). This will reset the code to 0123.
Wait about 10 seconds then reconnect the mains supply, enter 0123 on the keypad and press Reset twice, this will shut the alarm up.
You will then need to set your own code, sorry but I've forgotten how to do that
