Thank you SO MUCH! That worked perfectly. We were ready to toss the machine, since this happened once before. We took it to a shop and got charged a fortune for a pump replacement. We used it 2-3 times after that and it broke again. Looks like it was never the pump that was a problem a all.

Well done Bob. Glad to have been of assistance. It is a shame that this site does not have a look up database of fixes that work for particular products to save people asking all the time.
I will suggest it to them.

Fixit Lewis' solution worked perfectly for me. Oh and do as he says and don't wash it over the sink as the red O-RING washers will come off.

Worked perfectly afterwards for me. I thought it was hosed. Thanks again.

The spray at the front end is dispensed via the heater box in the handle behind the light. This has a maze of narrow water channels which will get clogged up if dirty tank water is allowed to mix with the clean. Always run clean water through after use.

The heater box can be dismanled and cleaned by taking the wheel to handle part apart. Watch out for the small seal washers under each screw when the cover of the heater matrix is removed. Don' do it over the sink as I did. Some washers went down the drain & I had to recover them.

Reassemble & spray should be restored to the front. Spray from the wand does not go through the heater.

I have had 3 proheats with this chronic problem. I ticked the # of times the third one worked successfully to 6! It is now not dispensing water or solution, belt is ok and w contaorks fine with attachments. I thought it was just mine! I've contacted Bissell and they attempt to troubleshoot by phone, then direct me to a repair vendor.I end up exchanging it at the retailer for a new one. I hope someone has an answer!
