I have a 1997Bmw 5 series and when the boot is closed,the light on the dashboard still shows it as open.no idea what the problem is,can you help.

there must be a button on the booth door frame, thats has stopped makeing contact with the booth lid, and is not pushing down, to show up that the booth is shut, check out were the button is , and hold it down with your finger to see if the dashboard light will go out,,
