Can I use heating without transmitter?

I have a Worcester Greenstar CDi combi boiler and the transmitter is broken. I wanted to know whether I should be able to put the heating on manually at the boiler. I have tried to do this but it won't come on. Do I need to get a new transmitter in order to get my heating up and running again?
Many thanks.

remove wire connected to transmitter from PCB and loop it than you can control from boiler
