Aqualisa A2 pump (grey box). Cast iron bearings?

This question is for Mick, the control systems guy: where are the bearings to be found in an Aqualisa A2 pump? I have a unit with two pumps (non-combi version, I think). The first pump (temp regulator?) is for incoming hot and cold water, which feeds the second pump. Where do the cast iron bearings live?

I'm in a part of England where the water is with lmescale and I expect that the system could do with a descaling treatment at the same time.

Many thanks
