aquarius TDL52 dryer drum not spinning until i take top off and push it?

i have a hotpoint aquarius TDL52 that is not working. the drum does not spin empty or with a few bits in it. it makes the right noises so i took the top off to check the belt and it looked fine. i plugged it in and put on a 10 min cycle and it didn't move until i gave the drum a bit of a push and it got going. when it stopped during the cycle it wouldn't get going again until another push. i suspect that if there are brushes on the motor it would be the thing to go after next. does anyone have a PN for these if they are on the motor???
thanks

The motor on this machine is an induction motor so does not have any brushes. The fault will be the capacitor for the motor, this is the thing that looks like a battery and is mounted on or near the motor. Replace with correct one they are rated with a microfarad number... probably a 7 or 8 microfarad.
