How can I fix a Singer Futura 1100?

I tried to switch on the machine SINGER FUTURA 1100 and unfortunately when trying to select the required stitch, the red LED which marks the selected stitch remained off. Is anyone please capable of giving me the reason and how can I repair it? Thanks
