how to check that my lights are working correctly ?

i have a 2008 laguna sports tourer and i normally leave the lights on auto but now i find i have to put the fog lights on as well so i have light at night

Is this on both dipped and main beams? If the main beams are working then I'd suspect that your dipped beam bulbs need replacing.
