Removal of top to allow new cable Russell Hobbs 18651?

Need to remove cover section of iron to access for new mains cable. Two tamper proof screws already removed. Next step to avoid damage please

Next step is to pull up the two buttons for steam and water spray. You got two screws under them. Another screw is under the cap that close the water intake.
After those you can remove the top handle of iron.

Then you got another few screws but you can find them easily. Remember you got extra two screws under the temperature control knob (you need to pull it up as well). Then its really easy to change cable (you can use old cable connectors).

By the way, this iron got really bad quality power cable and russell hobbs should be taken to court for risking people life.

Cut Through the top forward of the cable entry nothing inside remove back screw , you cannot get at the terminals so cut the existing cable long enough to attach a heatproof connector, make off your new cable, replace backplate the screw does hold it place, bingo

They do not make them to be repairable - to get to the place you seek you will need to destroy the iron. Probably best you give up and invest in a new one.

Good luck...
