I have run a diagnostics check on my fiat punto 2002 1.2 and it is locating a fault that reads injector circuit open cylinder 1 the problem is when Im accelerating it seems like it is staved of petrol and starts to splutter it is fine on tick over and starts first time it only seem to do this over 2000 revs can any one help to solve this problem
I have replaced the injector it didn't make any difference I also replaced the ignition leads and plugs. do you have any other suggestions

Diagnostics say injector fault so you buy an ecu and a coil pack? How to waste money.

thanks for the advise I have tried changing injectors and it didn't make any difference so I'm going to order an ECU and coil pack and hopefully that might solve the problem

Swap injector for the one next to it,clear the fault then run it.
hast the injector fault moved to the other cylinder?
if so the the injector IS faulty and needs replaced
if the fault is still on the original cylinder the either there's a wireing fault or the ECU is faulty.
