Bosch excell dishwasher constantly draining?

dishwasher pump stuck on drain. Have checked the base by tipping the machine and also looking around the anti flood float and there is no water there so no internal leaks.
Any ideas what could solve it ?

Smart decision Barry..... SWMBO happy, everyone happy! (love the abbreviation by the way but I think she will crack it if she reads it) cheers

Final update. Looked at the pcb and no signs of anything amiss - as far as you can tell from the outside. Rang Bosch and they confirmed that their engineer had visited (the blue letter R sticker was still present). To keep SWMBO happy - have replaced and got to say that the new one is a lot quieter and washes better even on the 29 minute wash.
Just wanted to say thank you for you help. Whilst couldn't manage to solve the problem - it was worth trying. Cheers Barry

To get to the pcb.... remove the lower 3 screws each side of stainless steel door to release the front white steel door panel, and remove. Remove screws holding control panel and 2 that go in from the side, top of s/s door. Control box unclips from subframe. If you can see any burning on the board you may still get a good response from Bosch as it was the burning out of the heater relay that was their cause of concern. Cheers

Hi Kenjo
Thanks for the reply. Was aware of the recall issue but unfortunately Bosch engineer visited a few years ago and made the required change so I don't think I will get away with that.
Am I right in saying that the pcb is accessed by removing the inner door to locate the pcb immediately between the controls? Given the price of a replacement and that something else may go kaput in the near future - maybe best to renew the dishwasher.
Really appreciate your assistance. Cheers

Have just checked your model and it is listed on the recall as a model but you will need to check your fd number to se if it qualifies. Fd no is a 4 digit no denoting the date of manufacture. good chance you can get it done free. If you are still reading these posts and have not given up and bought new. Keep me posted. Cheers

Hi Barry if you have disconnected the micro switch and the pump is still on then it can only be fed by the pcb so the pcb is faulty. often the heater relay on the board burns a hole in the board and creates a short circuit damaging the processor. You could have a look at the pcb to confirm this, if so it is worth going on the bosch recall website as they had a recall on the pcbs on a range manufactured about 10 years ago, and this recall is still valid today. check out your model no and if it is on the list bosch will replace it free of charge. Happy days!

Many thanks Lincoln Appliances. Was starting to think it may be the PCB. However with the cost of replacement, the age of the machine and uncertainty whether it will completely solve the problem - might bite the bullet and just replace. At least you get a warranty on a new one.
Thanks again !

If there is no water in base & flood switch is not on you may have a damaged PCB control board. The triac or relay which switches on the drain pump may be permanently on. Drain pump should run for about 30 secs when you first press start before turning off and water then enters machine.

Kenjo - meant to add it is a SGS45E02GB/45. FD8411

Hi Kenjo - thanks for the reply. The dishwasher is 9 years old.
The red rod between the polystyrene float and switch moves freely but appears to have no effect. (Have moved it up and down whilst machine in action to no effect). Have rinsed upper float with soda solution in case it was clogged - again no improvement. Have also disconnected the micro switch but the pump stays on even if the door is opened.
Many thanks

If older machine check the red rod from the polystyrene float in the base is not jammed up pushing the micro switch, also that the red plastic float in the side chamber is not up pushing the switch, if they are come back for more info. If this is not your model give me the model no etched in the top of the stainless steel door, cheers
