We fitted a replacement veritas 8 compact alarm panel, all seemed well for about 24hours then the alarm went off. After silencing it the red 24hour light was on constantly. We tried to get alarm companies to come out but none wanted to for "insurance " or other reasons, so we had a go at it ourselves and now the red light is flashing (is this an improvement or not?) We have exhausted all the recommendations to be found on the web! Can anyone help or know of a company that is prepared to. We also need a new outside sounder box fitting. We are in Newark, Notts. Thanks in anticipation.

Check 24 hr circuit (tampers).

And yes rule out a battery issue and fit new as gts has said.
