Hi. It was a factory fault. The drawer wiring was incorrectly dressed and the tray hits the wiring causing it to pinch and split. Take the plastic insert out of the drawer then lift the drawer tray out. If there are two white wires, check for a tiny cut in the wires where they go into the solenoid at the bottom. If so, the drawer drive circuit needs repairing. Take it to a Sharp dealer and complain about the manufacturing fault. they were repairing them under warranty but they may fix it for you if you complain.
