just had another quick thought maybe i should try getting some carb cleaning spray into the air intake,do they really work and are they a solution to this problem, at this rate it wont be the garage taking my money but the local motor shop still looking for a solution can anyone recommend any more off the shelf products that may help before i go to the garage and pay a machinic for his wisdom

stalling? if it is a ecotec petrol there is a fix.common problem is blocked air hole in throttle body.if you remove this you can unblock the hole using a small drill bit or paper clip and carb cleaner.quite an easy job done it myself.
