depending on washer,the speedqueen got a gearbox seal that will put black spots on washing if its worn,other possibility on other machines is a overdose of washing powder and mostly softener that is stuck between inner and outer drum and now starting to come loose.short story.tell us what machine you got and what black stuff looks like
