Opel Astra 1600 CDE Ecotec?

Please can somebody help. My Astra broke a valve. we decided to do the valves rings and bearings at the same time. now she uses 4pints of oil on a 300KM trip and she misfired when idling and heaps and heaps of white smoke when you pull away and accelerate. We replaced the sensor on the manifold. changed the coil pack cleaned the EGR valve with all this the idling is 100% beter bur she still smokes. what can be wrong?? what else do we need to replace, clean or fix

you don`t say what caused your valve to break, timing belt? It is very difficult to determine what is your problem but the oil is obviously getting into the cylinders and quite a lot at that,my guess is the head will have to come off and get pressure tested to check for cracks and also warping, also worth looking at would be the turbo and check for play in the impeller which could signify worn bearings/oil seals, would start at the turbo and go from there, good luck.
