how can i fix my hotpoint tumble dryer no heat is coming out?

I have got a hotpoint tumble dryer ctd40, there is no heat coming from the tumble dryer i have had someone come out to me before , this does keep happening am i doing somethink wrong? please can you tell me how to fix the problem, iam desperate

Jim, We have same problem. It's real nuisance. I presume from what you write there is no reset and I need to get the part. Can you let me know exactly what part (thermostat + etc) we need? Perhaps where I get it? Many thanks.

hotpoint dryers are fitter with aa thermostat kit which is made up of a thermostat and a one shot device.if the drier goes over temperature the one shot device fails. the components are sold together and there is usually a colour code on the thermostat or the model number should suffice. these are located at the rear of the drier and should only be removed after the appliance has been disconnected from the mains.the common cause of failure is running the drier for too long after clothes are dry
