Could you please help me identify a part for my machine. I think it is a small metal spring out of the bobbin winder shaft. I have to wind the bobbin by hand as the bobbin cannot be put in place without the spring in place to retain the bobbin.

dont think you can buy retainer spring will have to buy complete bobbin winder,in meantime push paper between shaft and bobbin when inserting on shaft,it normally helps,can also take small hacksaw and split shaft and then open little to ensure bobbin fitt nicely tight,carefull not to open up to wide
