vauxhall astra club 2004 ?

I have a vauxhall astra club (105) 2004 the boot will not shut at all

look at the latch on boot and you may find that it is in locked position which will prevent it from closing.if you place a screwdriver or similar into the latch and flick open whilst operating handle/key [at the same time] it should un-latch,hope you understand what i mean!
