Hotpoint WDF740 Aquarius+ washer dryer - why is it leaking?

Hi,

I have a Hotpoint WDF740 Aquarius+ washer dryer and it is leaking from the bottom/underneath near the front. I have checked and cleaned the pump on the front at the bottom but this hasn't solved the problem.

A small half moon shape (the size of half a 10p coin) is missing from the rubber tubing inside the door (bottom centre) - could this be causing the leak? I can't see how it could be but happy to stand corrected!

Thanks in advance.

We have a WTF740. Never leaked.
Sorry no help at all.

Hi there,

As a fellow Hotpoint connoisseur I haven't come across this issue. So you're saying that the hole is a 5p coin? I am making an informed guess that you haven't been overloading? The problem is that a leak could be caused by any number of reasons - overloads, seal issues , general wear and tear and even pest problems.

An intriguing problem that I have probably not helped with in solving!
