Hi I have a gilera 172 all the electrics work except the indicators sometimes they work sometimes they don't I'm not sure what it is can anybody help and also how much will it cost, thank you

The switches are not very strong on these buy a new one and try that if not the flasher relay s not so cleverly built into the regulator rectifier on this model so you can either get a new one at a great cost or the the two wires that are going into for the indicators and fit a normal relay for fiver.

As for cost your local m/c repair shop might be able to give you a ball-park figure.

If it were my bike I would buy a replacement control switch and fit it as being the most likely cause.

It may be a bad connection - it may be the flasher unit - clearly it's something that comes and goes - wobbling the wiring might bring the fault on - then you'll know better (maybe) if the connections are good or not.
